Parkway's Slusher To Continue Career at Capital University

Parkway Softball Coach Mark Esselstein

"Alyx has had a tremendous career at Parkway. She started as a freshman in the outfield and earned honorable mention all state honors in Div. 3. She has been 1st team MAC all 3 years. Her greatest strength is her hitting. She has a career batting average of .464 and is 2nd in career doubles and 5th in career homeruns. She works very hard at her craft to be the best shortstop she can be for our team and to achieve her long-time goal of playing softball in college. She will make a great hitting coach someday if she so chooses—she does a great job already teaching our younger players. She has a tremendous will to win and is highly motivated to make her senior season a memorable one for her team and individually. "

(2-14-17) Parkway's Alyx Slusher (SS/OF) has signed to continue her softball career at Capital University.

Slusher on her NCSA scouting profile talks about her future desire to play softball in college:

"My goal is to play softball at a Collegiate level. I feel my strong desire to play and endless hard work sets me aside from other candidates."

"I am willing to put forth as much hard work as possible to achieve my goal of playing softball at a collegiate level."
