Huey placed 3rd in the 106 lb class, pinning Emma Mensendiek of Columbus East, while Zorn lost in the 113 lb third place match to West Vigo's Annalyse Dooley by decision (6-3) to finish in fouth. Hamilton Heights wrestling coach Gary Myers told WTHR TV:

"My goal is just to get it off the ground to show the IHSAA what it looks like. They can take it over two, three years from now or even next year. It's up to them when they want to take the ball. I just want to show them how it looks and they can take over. I'm fine with that."
